Long story short, first pair of fish purchased 8-26. Everything was great for a couple of days, both eating well, until ammonia built up in 10 gal QT (really did not appreciate how quickly it would happen - after only 2 feeds with no leftover food...).

Dosed Amquel, water changes and one fish came back just fine and started eating in the next 36 hours. Other fish did not...and then had symptoms of ich - breathing fast, just sitting on the bottom.

So 2 days later after a freshwater dip (1.009 sg for 10 min - which seemed to help) non-eating fish is acting well, swiimming normally, and breathing seems improved. Just not eating!

Have tried mysis, pellets, and just tonight garlic (which the healthy fish seemed to love..).

Any suggestion? Just wait longer? Has been 8 days since it ate anything...

CYCLOPS!! I have heard many people suggest cyclopleeze but I never used it. Long story short the first 2 fish I bought for my tank was a black and white clownfish and a regular Occ. clownfish. I bought them together from the same tank at the lfs and both seemed fine. Until I acclimated them and added them to my dt. Shortly afterward I noticed both had stringy white poop indicating parasite and tried treating them with prazipro. Well must have been to late on the black and white, he started swimming erratically so I took him back to the lfs for a refund. While the other clownfish didn't show anymore symptoms I could not get him to eat anything, Mysis, brine, and many different types of food with no success of. I even tried soaking everything in garlic with no luck. Finally after yet another trip to the lfs I bought some frozen Cyclops. When I tried that my clown went crazy and started eating that stuff. I think the smaller size helped but I have since bought another black and white occ and he was a little difficult at first until I gave him some Cyclops. That stuff seems to work real well for me. Good Luck. Oh and yes I always QT my fish now lesson learned
