Any Tunze powerhead owners ever noticed rust?

Long story short, I own ecotech powerheads and really am fed up with their answer that rust on their powerheads are perfectly acceptable under warranty.

So, My only other real option is to look into replacing them with Tunze. But before I do I was just wondering if any Tunze users have ever had a problem with rust also?

How many and what size do you recommend for a 6x2x2 tank?

Thanks

I'm curious where you are finding rust on the Ecotech powerheads? There is no exposed metal (wetside)....and the only metal that I'm aware of is the plastic encased magnet.

Just do a Google search, ha. I'm not knocking ecotech. I own two mp40's, a vectra m1, a reeflink and have owned three gen 3 xr30w's and will probably be buying three gen 4 xr30w's in the next couple of weeks.

I just don't like ecotechs response to brand new mp40's rusting.

Edited: Looks like tunze has the same problem. Guess I will just stick to maintaining and replacing worn out wetsides for now. Thanks

Post in the Tunze forum and Roger will have answers to all your questions. Mine have never rusted, but I've heard the older magnet design rusted occasionally. My old ones never rusted either.
