Want to get a battery backup to my tank.first choice would be to backup my return cor pump
If not possible will look into backing up my nero 5s powerheads

There’s no dedicated battery backup for the COR, but you can leverage any conventional UPS backup battery. The Apex integrates nicely with the UPS so you can program it to turn off unnecessary equipment during a power failure to preserve battery life for water movement.

See my tutorial on Apex Power Monitoring for instructions on setting it up and programming examples: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/neptune-apex-programming-tutorials-part-4-power-monitoring.698/

The COR 20 is a 24V DC pump so theoretically there would be no problem powering it from a suitably sized battery of the same voltage. You could cut the cord coming from the power block to the COR 20 and wire it into a VSR with the other side of your VSR connected to your battery. If the supply from the power block fails the VSR would then switch it to draw from the battery.
