anybody collected mysis??

I have access to mysis shrimp in some of the lakes where I live. I am thinking of collecting some fresh and freezing it. Anybody done this? Any tips would be great!

I think without flash freezing it, it loses some of its nutritional value... but I could be wrong.

Good call. I am probably not set up to do that. Maybe it will just be a summer time treat to feed fresh mysis. Wonder how long they take to die in salt water.

I'd see this as possibly being ok, but you would want to remove them from their current water entirely, put them in minimal ro/di and the booster and freeze them in as little water as possible I would imagine.

I might give that a go. Couldn't hurt. Free food is always good. I'd probably rinse them in RODI water, then add a little selcon before freezing.

i soak all my food in selcon before freezing and love the stuff
