Anybody have a 60" x 30" tank?

I'm thinking this might be the perfect dimensions for my new tank, 60" x 30" x 25". I mainly want to limit things to a 60" tank because it could be illuminated by a single ATI fixture. If you have a tank this size where did you get it and how do you like it?

you wouldn't have any problem lighting a 72 inch tank with a 60 inch ATI fixture.

My tank is actually 60 x 30 x 22 if I remember correctly. I use a 4ft fixture and it works great.

Mine is a custom acrylic. I love it because the width makes for so many aquascaping options and nothing feels jammed in. Even viewing the long end still looks like a full tank view.

I don't use ATI's but I do use a 48" fixture to supplement my LED's. The tank is 60"x30"x24" and I love the dimensions. It was a custom build from SCA so I could use the synergy overflow. Pictures don't do it justice. The 30" depth is fantastic!

I have a 7 foot tank and a 6 foot light. I hate it. I bought clip-on MH to cover each end so that I could put my acropora all the way.

The ends are already lower light with light coming from above and the middle only (not the other side).

Some people do not mind this and others do. Only you can decide which one of those that you are.

I got a 60” tank for a similar reason. My initial thoughts while planning was I’d spend more on lighting if I went with a 72”. So I went with the 60” and ended up spending more on lighting than I anticipated. In any case, I have no regrets because the overall footprint was perfect for the only option I had in my house to set up a tank > 48”. Unfortunately for most in this hobby, any tank we decide to get will never be big enough.

I went with the crystalline series by Planet Aquariums - special ordered from my LFS. For lighting I have 3 G4 Radions installed 8” above the surface.

That’s really nice. Every time I see. Pic of an ATI tank I want to switch from halide/t5 to full t5.

My 60x24x30H fits in the only spot the wife said I could have,lol. I have 2 Current USA Orbit 48-60" LEDs. I want to upgrade my lights to Radions but to much $$$ for me.

Another option might be the Elos 160XL (63”x31.5”x23.5”). I currently have this tank, and I am very happy with it. Also, it is one of their standard sizes, so you would not have to wait long for a custom built tank. Currently, I am running the Gisemann Matrixx 48” fixture, and the coverage works perfectly for this tank.
