Anybody know what this is?

Starts out brown, at first I thought diatoms, but I've noticed when I clean the sand bed it forms these in the sand. So than I thought dinos possibly, but nothing like I've ever seen before. Doesnt produce long mucus strings, no bubbles, and is flat on sand until disturbed. Not on rocks or glass. Cyano possibly?
