Anybody know whats going on with this snail?

Hello reefers, I noticed today that one of my snails looks like it has a fragmented shell....seems to be doing fine but I don't know if it's trying to grow or what...but it looks like a huge part of its shell has been broken off with a little left over.

Did a rock fall on him? I don't know how to help a snail with a broken shell

Did it fall? Snails grow their own shells so as long as calcium levels are good it will eventually heal.
