Anybody make food?

I do make most of my food myself but I don't sell it. I make it specific to the fish I have just knowing how much they typically eat and what type of food they each eat. I still do some pellet feeding too but I just mix up a nice blend in my Magic Bullet and eyeball it. I use Tank saltwater, frozen shrimp, brine shrimp, instant ocean omnivore pellets, instant ocean herbivore pellets, nori seaweed, and usually put in some garlic. Then just put it in a ziplock bag in the freezer and tear off pieces when I need it. I usually feed that once every other day and try to keep like feedings and pellet feeding mixed in there to give them a different eating routine.

Jason and Tammy did sell it at one time.

I made some food tonight. Ribeye sprinkled with garlic powder and black pepper, marinated all afternoon in worchestershire and Italian dressing, and grilled wide open for 11 minutes. Potato and onion in the microwave while I'm outside cooking.

I had a thought the other day about making food. I sometimes buy frozen shrimp that comes in the shell which I peel before cooking. So, I wondered if it would be worthwhile to blend up the shells with maybe a few of the frozen shrimp and some frozen broccoli and just freeze it in a sandwich bag. The main question is if there's enough nutritional value in the shells/legs/tails to bother.

I just recently blended up some raw shrimp, squid, broccoli, spinach leaves, mussels, cyclopeeze, and my fish seem to love it. I do have to turn off my skimmer go a half hour after I feed this though as it fills up and overflows like crazy. But no big deal, my fish and corals love it.

Mike :)

We usually have food that Tammy makes.Good to see you back on here Mike,I am home for the week.

Can you feed broccoli ?
When we took the behind the scenes tour at the Tennessee Aquarium, they showed us how they lowered whole heads of broccoli down into the tank. Then later we saw it dangling on the rope near the bottom and the fish were loving it. So, I'd say yes.

Sounds like a waste of good broccoli to me! Steam it and pour cheese sauce over it. Yum!
