Anybody still running VHO bulbs?

Sounds like a plan sunny.... Throw at least one 454 bulb in there your reds and oranges will thank you... I always ran just the actinincs and finally swaped one for a 454 it was my favorite combo I ever ran....

i ran radiums and super actinics combo was excellent, if energy wasnt a question i would still be using them,ive got 2 brand new VHO's in storage.if you want them let me know,there 48"
if you have trouble finding some,there still avail here in canada

I run dual Super Actinics. I have an extra Icecap 660 and two extra bulbs. All I'd need are sockets.

My question is what do we use if the Icecap ballast dies? I've been using them for 7 years.

coral vue has taken over icecap ballasts from what i hear

David at Coralvue was very good to me when it came to ballasts for the VHO's. Even when IceCap was still around I switched to Coralvue and never regretted it.

That's right, I forgot about that. Always good to have a plan in place for when the need arises.

One more here , currently its 1 super atinic and 1 454. But I have a extra of both and thinking of going back to using 2 super atinics.
And the 2x250mh. The current bulbs are the XM14k But i need to replace them 2mo ago. Might try the XM 10k next time.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I ended up grabbing two 72" super actinic bulbs. Im gonna hook them up this weekend to an ice cap 660.
