Hey guys, so I have a bottle of selcon that I bought on a whim, and now I'm wondering what benefits other users have noticed in using it when feeding. What's your process, and what are you seeing as a reason for using it?

I think I remember reading @Salty1962 uses it regularly. I also remember a thread where a member said it's the same thing as something he buys at one of the fishing stores. I'll see if I can find it.

I have not used it, I add my own vitamins to my system. I have been a few threads were members have used Silicon and had good to great results.

I use selco (which is a selcon like product) for my G. chiragra mantis shrimp and it definitely does increase apatite by a noticeable degree, selcon and selco are almost universally recommended for mantis shrimp, especially in larger species such as O. scyllaris because in some studies it has shown to help reduce the occurrence of shell rot, especially in larger or older specimens, i imagine if it has such good results for mantis shrimp that these benefits transfer to fish as well considering it is a nutrient booster which should be pretty universal in its effect.
