Anyone Built an in line salt mixer?

Curious if anyone has every built a setup where you can pour dry salt in, connect your RODI unit and get mixed water out? On a real basic level you should be able to pour 712 of salt into a pvc pipe and run 5 gallons of RO water through it to have it dissolve, there should be plenty of contact time. Or more conveniently use have rodi water just slowly drip into a bucket and pull off saturated water then mix it roughty 9:1 with DI water. Maybe there is something im not seeing what sorts of problems arise when you do that?

I believe if you were to try this your alk and Cal would prercipitate out to due to the high levels during the initial start up.

The issue with a system like this is over saturated salt mix tends to precipitate out. You will end up with inconsistent parameters when ever you mix new water. Easiest mixing idea would be get a container that holds enough water to dissolve the entire salt mix container. No fuss fill, dump in the bucket let it mix.

Its an interesting concept but I do think that precipitation would be an issue. Another method that might work though would be to have a mixing container with a hopper above it containing salt that slowly adds the salt to the full volume of water which would allow it to be slowly dissolved into the water. I have though about doing something like this for my system rather than mixing salt water manually with cups or slow pouring the bag of salt over the mixing container.

It needs to be on a timed continuous loop for a while to get mixed properly. I do it with powder chemicals on my agricultural sprayer, just large scale. 1000 gallons of water, and 220hp tractor being the pump. Look up dry chemical induction or inductor. The venturi usually has 3 or more valves you adjust to not precipitate the mix, as that would plug the nozzles on the sprayer, all 180 of them. If you can small it down, get the pump speed right, and the valves right, you will be able to control the salt consumption into the mix. The inducted line also goes into the big tank through a 4 way agitator × 2 to blend before the sump and back through the system. I find mixing up 4 gallons of water relaxing though.
