So we noticed some brown dots, very small ones on a zoa polyp and checked out all the usual suspects... Spiders, Nudi etc etc and have found nothing that matches them. I broke out the mega macro lens to get a real close up and well see for yourself. Weirdest thing i think I have ever I've seen. They are not asterina starfish babies, the eggs for those I have seen online are round and egg shaped. In the photos the white area is the side of a polyp.
I have trawled the net and found nothing close to them. Answers on a postcard. I have two frags with them on, they didn't arrive like that. The polyps are closed where they are situated if that helps you. Are they a form of algae or something sugar based?
