Anyone done a domino dominant tank?

I know they're aggressive, hateful and otherwise discarded in the hobby, but I think they're unique and wondered if I'm alone in this fascination.

I think it would be sweet with large anemones to host them like in the wild.

Cute when babies but extremely aggressive when mature. You would need a HUGE tank to keep a group or they may start to kill each other off. Can't even consider keeping any other less aggressive fish with them.

Like I said, I know how they are. My oldest got to about 5 inches when I kept them. He was in the tank with a grouper and held his own.

I had one about 5 inches...............................He was the bully but never hurt anyone. No of the others ever had fins torn up.

Domino-dominant, no.

But I work weekends at a public aquarium, and in one of the reefs there, they had a pair of adult dominoes.

In a big ... I want to say maybe ten feet long? ... tank, the dominoes got along just fine with everyone else, only becoming aggressive in defense of their rock after spawning.

Well yes I have with a Haddoni Carpet anemone. They are awesome fish that swim in a hover like fashion. They will readily take to anemones. Yes as they get older they turn an unattractive grey and they get very mean. Was an avid diver most of my younger adult years, never had a serious issue with fish, but an adult domino at 80 ft and broken BC device was a little touch and go, yeah almost got the bends bad enough for hospitalization.

As a few of the other posters suggested, a group with an anemone is a striking display. One of my favorite wild reef pics is a colony hosting in a red carpet.
