Anyone else auto dosing NO3 and PO4?

@FishOfHex I have a Jebao doser I am going to try this out on. I currently mix my own NO3 and PO4 solution in a 1 gallon jug and hand dose. I typically shake them before dosing. Do you have an issue with anything settling or is shaking something to not be concerned about?

no issues with that

I have auto dosed both in the past but now just PO4, holds steady at 0.04-0.08ppm.

If you have the sample adequately homogenized it does not need to be shaken.

Not yet, but I did see your video last night. My NO3 is at 5ppm and PO4 is at .02. The tank is young and only has on hammer coral at present that is doing very well. I'm getting ready to add a few corals with a shipment coming in today and tomorrow. I have started dosing Tropic Marin's All-for-Reef in anticipation of the new corals. I'm going to monitor my levels over the next few weeks. If after feeding corals with reef roids my PO4 doesn't come up, I am considering purchasing your HEX PO4. Thanks for the informative video.

I dose nitrate with my ATO, along with some aminos, with WC i keep up with trace elements depletion (10% per week) and kh, ca via dosing (peristaltic) fully saturated kalk solution 40 ml every 2 hours (8 gallon high demand mixed mini reef)

I noticed the bottle of acropower in your sump. Do you also dose this? I always wondered what the thought process is (not questioning the thought process, just trying to understand) around keeping nitrates low and dosing but also using amino acids. Is there a thought that things like acropower offer better food and nutrition than no3/po4?

I dose Potassium Nitrate using this stuff. 1/2 tablespoon daily for 200g total water volume.

Zoas/palys are growing like crazy. No GHA as I believe this powder is 14% nitrogen and gets absorbed quickly.

Luv this stuff

On the PO4 side ...I avoid Phosphates like the coronavirus. I dose 20 droplets of Lanthanum Chloride every Sunday night to eradicate PO4 as much as possible.

My zoas/palys dominated tank is really starting to take off

I've been trying to dose, NO3 was zero, PO4 was 0.02 and corals looked bad. I started dosing just a little bit each day and all the sps went from somewhat bleached to bleached. NO3 was close to zero, PO4 is 0.06. So now I just like whatever, I've been dosing NO3, have it up to 0.6-0.7. I believe my sps corals were just stressed for a long time, when I started changing N and P, it just over worked the poor corals and they bleached.

I found @robert post to help me understand what I screwed up.

Theres no way to measure 60-70ppb NO3, not sure if that was a typo.
