Anyone else hard plumb their Red Sea ReefMat...?

Wouldn't the piece inside the union he is using restrict the water flow...?

Did you try it? I think I will when I get mine next week. I don't like the idea of the corrugated flex pipe it comes with.

Nice. Did you have to buy a new union to come out of the reefmat? I read it takes 1" PVC pipe? I'm looking to do this when mine comes in

I hard plumed mine. More room in the sump now.

Came with the union and it takes 1". This is the 500, not sure if the others come with or are different sizes.
