Anyone else use this

Been using this salt since I started never used anything else. If anyone has used this and switched to a different salt what was the benefits or drawbacks?

Their other version claims to have all 70 trace elements etc. and this one doesn't so i am assuming it doesn't have them in it. But if it works for you, great

It's cheap salt, alk comes out around 9 and mag is like 1300. The alk in my tank sits around 10 in my tank. When I was like 15 I just went to petco and bought the cheapest they had because i had a very limited budget. Been using it since and never thought much of it. I wanted to swicth to instant ocean but I've always been nervous to.

I think it works but I'm interested if switching to a different salt could give me even better results.

Do you have a link by chance I'd be interested in switching to a reef salt in the same brand

I am not using their other salt, and i am not endorsing it in any way, but they (and other companies) have "marine salt" and "reef salt", i am sure you'll find it with those keywords. "marine salt" being intended for fish only and "reef salt" for corals.

So Instant Ocean isn't a "reef salt", yet hundred of beautiful reefs run on it, and it alone. Such as mine.

Actually just looked up both on Omega ones website. Neither one of them say they have added anything, other then the reef salt which just has elevated levels of ALK, CAL, and MAG. Both descriptions are nearly identical.

Never saw anything about 70 added trace elements.

I would think these are similar to IO and reef crystals where one is designed for FOWLR, and the other elevated levels for a "reef salt", but both are more then adequate for reefs.

I was just wondering if anyone else has used this salt and then switched and had better results probably wont change it lol.
