Im running a variety of Wavepoint T5s on my 48" Tek Light Elite, including a few of their pinker bulbs (i forget what they call, but I can check it out). The Overall color seems alright, buts it only a few month old tank I just set up with a variety of frags. Everything is doing well and I havn't lost anything, but I'm just not sure If I'm satisfied with them.
They seem to not be as bright, or lacking some of the "pop" I've experienced with other bulbs, and I know I may be comparing apples to oranges considering the price, and it all may be speculative, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had any experiences.
All of my corals are encrusting, and my pink lemonade probably the fastest, but it was green and off color when I got it, with not much PE. PE has increased a little, and the encrusting tissue looks a little more yellow, but still pretty green. Maybe time will tell.
I'm also thinking it could be a product of the broader spectrum of bulbs I'm using, but I do not feel like swapping out 3 month bulbs just yet.

When I had T5s I used Wavepoints first and then I changed to geisemens and the difference was very noticeable. Growth and color made a 50% turnaround..

I dont know so far I really like them. The actinic pretty poping and I do got pretty good grow with it. Um..

Thanks everyone, I do like geissemmen.. And have used kz fiji purp, but never tried ATI. So far growth has been decent, I think ill give them a few more mos, swap them with geissemmens and then see if notice any difference. One thing that has me thinking its the bulbs are my ricordea. They look very "healthy", but the colors are just kind of dull, even my oranges up near the top.

Well Ricordia are not high light corals so wavepoints are probably fine.

Becarefull switching wavepoints out for ati or Giesemann and do it slowly. There is a difference in par.

Don't want to take over a thread but...... I'm changing my od coral life bulbs to ATI next week. Should I do this one at a time with like a week between bulbs ? or is it ok to just change them all at once. All I have is softies.

Yes do them one at a time or raise the fixture and slowly lower it.

This should be done when changing out old lamps to.
