Anyone Ever Get Electrocuted?

I don't guess young people dare each other to touch the electric fence anymore.
This happened to my sister, by our brother. I forgot how long in the hospital she stayed. I wasn't even a year old.

But, I'm always getting a shock from something.

The old cash register at my first job was energized on the outside. The world before 3 prong plugs. I would place my hand firmly on the register and wait patiently.
I used to reach over while my friend Steve leaned on the ice cream freezer and zap him with my finger.

Then there is a day in the summer when you sit down on the ground all sweaty to work in a connection point for a new service and lean back into an electric fence strand. I didn't pee myself.

This argument could be very interesting to see play out. But it does not change the definition within a workplace.
If we’re going to strictly use legal, and osha definitions on an informal forum for Reefing, I’m in trouble. I have since retracted my statement in embarrassment. I will email Oxford English and Merriam-Webster dictionaries in the morning so that they correct their definitions to reflect the true, non-mumbo jumbo, legal and osha definition. I will also be asking fellow reefers to chip in so that I can have an attorney and Osha representative review my posts before submitting. I appreciate you informing me of my mistake. Now we can get back to our tanks.

Not sure how several boys seeing who the meanest toughest one was equates with hitting people with bats.
Sorry,,, my bad -- first time grabbing an electrical fence felt like that to me (((youngster from somewhere else being dared into touching it))).

EDIT-- I get how my poorly thought out post could've been misconstrued into meaning kids actually hitting each other with baseball bats but that wasn't meant to be a literal statement. (Again, my bad there)

I always cut the power off before working on the inside of my tank. Anyone ever get electrocuted? Just Curious what that was like. Thanks all
Do you have an ELCB or residual circuit breaker on the home?
Mandatory in Australia. Any short trips the mains in millisec.
I had a pet rabbit inside just recently I found was chewing power cable to TV (240V)
The TV went on/off a few times before I realised it. I booted the rabbit out and grabbed the cable without knowing the condition. Luckily the power tripped and then I saw the state of the cable.
Rabbit had chewed to bare copper on the active. It was down to a single strand. When I grabbed it it broke.

Rabbit was very lucky it had not chewed through the GND as well.

Had a very similar issue with a cat years ago chewing a power lead. I grabbed the very wet lead and got an awesome tingle. Again 240V 50Hz buzz
Can only imagine the cat liked the buzz.

A very recent even was a exhaust fan on my lazer cutter. I thought it was running backwards so disconnected the 2 wires (2 wires thinking DC powered) Nope it was a full 240V and man that one hurt.
But never in the tank

Only AC in my tank is the 2 heaters. Are there 12VDC heaters?

Actually you can be electrocuted and live. Electrocution is defined as death or severe injury. GFci works great when installed and working properly. Almost every gfci issue I ever found was because someone miswired the outlet, there was no ground wire (only a hot an neutral), or had a cheap or defective outlet.
Shocked is the more correct term

….. but I’ve already retracted my statement in shame as I did not use the legal and osha definition.

A 150w heater would need 12.5 Amps @ 12V. That's a pretty big PSU. Never seen one.
