Hey all,

So my wife hounded me for an Orchid Dottyback a few months back so we picked one up. Since adding him to my tank he/she has been kind of a nuisance, but not to much that it's affecting my other fish.

Today it seem's it's learned a new skill. I have two burrowers, a pistol shrimp and a Red-Head Goby. It seems like the Dottyback has decided that it wants to burrow too... Ive been witnessing him going into other burrows and taking sand and spitting it all over my rocks. For the last few months its only taken others burrows; seems now it has decided to do its own renovations!

Spectacular I think. Anyone else ever witness something like that?

I have kept a few Orchid Dottybacks over the years and never seen anything like that!

I had a royal dotty back that would do the same thing. It would rearrange the sand as it saw fit.

I feel bad for my Pistol Shrimp, it's like all his work is for naught. I can hear him popping all night.
