Anyone Experienced with Goldentail Morays???

I've had my Goldentail for at least 6 months now. This seemingly very docile eel has gone nuts with his appetite.

Eating about 10 entire silversides daily for the last week. He's about 2 feet long and has gotten increasingly aggressive. It actually went after my Sohal twice yesterday evening. After eventually catching a few lashes to the face he backed off but that is an 8" Sohal!

I've had all kinds of eels before including my current Tessalata but never one that eats like this. Honestly thinking of giving it to the LFS.

Anyone ever had a Goldentail like this before?

There might be some helpful information for you here - and possibly a few eel owners who might have some insight to share.

How much do i feed a baby Goldentail Moray Eel?

So i have been told every other day or like twice a week but i don't know how much to feed when i feed him. I have heard feed until they stop eating? Is that true? Anyone who has had this species before help would be very much appreciated there wasn't alot of info i could find online for this...

It seems information on Goldentails is all over the place.

I was actually able to catch a short video feeding the eels. I was attempting to feed the Tessalata when the Goldentail swooped in. My daughter nailed the camera work!

Each was satisfied with 1 silverside this morning but the feedings and aggression has been ramped up noticeably.

These monsters may be looking for a new home soon...
