anyone have a freshwater aquarium?

I have a 75 gal, 55 gal, 10 gal, 30 gal, 10 gal,and 20 gal freshwater systems. Just getting into saltwater.;) I have kept FW fish for four years now. Cichlids are my jam.

Ewww... You keep fish that come out in the light? I bet you see your fish more than once every 2 months... You cichlid people make us catfish people sick...

Just kidding, I love the smaller SA cichlids and can easily see how people get into africans, we have some young star sapphires at work and even they're only two inches the blue that bounces off them is insane!

Also like the finnex lights

yes, i do see my cichlids every once in a while. I also like plecos. I have a pair of bristlenose in my display tank. Catfish are cool too

I have a ten gallon with an African clawed frog. I grow an Amazon sword and a few Cryptocorns. I'm using a cheap hood with LED light bulbs. Cheap to buy, easy on the electric bill.

I breed OB peacocks, dragon blood peacocks, mpimbwe frontosa, and working on pairing African leaf fish and some koi angels. I have 4 29 gallon fry tanks, a 125 grow out, and I just took down my 135 main display and turned it into a sump for a new 210 display. If all goes as planned I'll have water in it this weekend.

Wow You have so many tanks. Lucky. Wish i could have a 200 gallon but right now I’m stuck with a ten gallon

I've spent alot of time selecting and perfecting my line breeding. I turn a decent profit selling the babies. This is a picture of my breeding male. He looks pretty small in the pic, when I was moving all the fish from one tank to another I measured them all. He was a little over 6.5. Alpha Male frontosa is almost 8.5 and the biggest syno cat is almost 9 inches.

Do any of you guys use co2? I never knew about adding co2 until recently and was wondering what it is. Also, if you use it what were your experiences? Thks

I use CO2. Without CO2, it is impossible to keep good plants in color.

Wow some really nice FW tanks!
Currently no I do not have any FW tanks. My last one was about 2 years ago, 55g with some live plants, SA cichlids and few mollies. I started in the hobby like most with FW. I have had several different setups over the years.

Everyone has such nice freshwater tanks and all I have is a ten gallon with some fish and a few plants ;Shiftylol
