Buying a house that has one. It’s copper after the meter. I have a very established sps tank and a 7 stage RO/DI but I’m pretty worried about what that 100 year old pipe is leaching. I know they are typically rusty inside like a clogged artery. I’ve got a quote to replace it but it’s 8k and def not in the initial budget.

Any input or experience is appreciated!

The ro/di unit should take care of everything in the water.
That's what it's designed to do.
You may find you burn through sediment filters and di resin at a faster rate than you did at your previous house.
