Hey anyone have any amphipods and copepods growing? One of my crabs ate all mine from my breeding tank.

You can buy a ton of copepods from reef life. I bought one of those bags for a few bucks and put them in at night. 10 days later tank is full of them!

Bought one bag of the amphipods the other Friday for $20 I only saw a couple thought they would be hiding in the filter pad that came with it.... also bought the bag with the live copepods let's just say I rather throw money away differently

Hi Carlos

Are you saying that because you didn't get enough and you feel ripped off? Never bought them so don't know what to expect.

Thanks
Randy

Not ripped off just me not making a right judgement call on buying 20-30 and not physically seeing all of them when you gave me chaetomorpha it had plenty but one of my crabs ate them all I didn't know I had him in there.

With this experience I rather give you or anyone else 20 for chaeto and know I will get more pods just one of those things

Oh in that case, I don't mind giving you another handful of chaeto. I am slowly getting away from low nutrients. Because of this my chaeto is very healthy at the moment. Didn't know my chaeto had pods in it

That's good to know. Shoot me a text whenever you want to stop by and get more chaeto and we can work something out

Randy, not a bad idea. I've recently been dosing Aquavitro fuel to add nutrients and both coral color and growth seems to have gotten better! It did cause a diatom blue initially but I'm running a small amount of gfo to see if it helps. So far I'm sold on the fuel. Not so much the amino acids I was dosing in the past.

Yea, basically I have cut down to 1/2 recommended GFO and started dosing Potassium Nitrate. I started feeding heavier and was able to get Nitrate to .2 ppm. After 3 weeks of dosing I have gone from .2 to 2. Colors and polyp extension are looking better.

Carlos, Sorry to hijack your thread.
