Or anything else you need to tell me about it because i like how porus it is but im sure there is something i dont see that is bad about it. I have pukani rock. I love it. Also when I ordered it I paid for 80 pounds and I got 93!

I told them I wanted large pieces and that I had a 120 4x2x2 tank. They sent the perfect rocks for me. Four large pieces that would be perfect for the bottom and several other that were used for stacking and height.

The rock is very light and really goes a long way.

Maybe a bad thing... The larger pieces have an obvious side that should be up (in my opinion) and this could limit how they are stacked.

Here is my tank.

I have used about 25-30 lbs of it. Great stuff. I wasn't anticipating to get as much rock as I did. To me, the volume of BRS pukani I received is like 45 lbs of the LR from the keys. And the sizes I got ranged from as small as an adult hand fully spread out up to a basketball.

Visually, I'd recommend getting more than one type of rock though. When you stack up the rock (super easy to do, btw), it can look like one giant boulder. Getting a couple branch rocks to add some contrast would go a long way, IMO.

I bought about 150 lbs of it in three different lots. I learned after the first one to thoroughly clean it before using it, or it will take forever to cure it, rid it of PO4. Ulitmately I did not use all of it.

I bought 30# to set up my 26g. Cooked it for 2wks in a tub of saltwater. Then added it to my tank and cycled for 4wks using SeaChem Stability.
Never had po4, no algae outbreak. Love the rock! Coralline takes to it quickly.

I too bought this rock and love it! BRS is pretty good about listening to any requests on sizes and shapes too. I would definitely go with it!

I have also bought several pounds over the past few years and really like it. I do agree with several others who have posted under thread. It's better to give them some info about your tank and what you are trying to achieve and they will help you with getting the right sizes and shapes. It's very easy to stack the rock and after using some imagination and design planning, you can make a pretty sweet acquascape!

I bought 80# to go in my 60. Could only fit about 45# as it is so porous. Great hiding places for fish and inverts, and easy to pop a frag plug in and out of. You don't need the 2#/gallon, I would shoot for more like one pound per gallon. And as others said, make sure to request a centerpiece in your desired shape and size and they will try to pick one for you.

Here it is on my 60:

Sweet! All good feedback. But can any1 tell me how the reward points work? I msgd a staff member there but havent heard back. am i able to get more rock for the points that i earn or what? haha

You can use your points for ANYTHING!! When I first set up my 26 I bought everything from them. I got so many points that I was able to buy a new RedSea Pro test kit. Yay me!!

I used BRS Pukani rock in my tank and I love it. I ordered 55lbs but it's so porous and equates to so much rock that I only used about 30 lbs of it. It came in very large pieces so I broke it up and epoxy'd it to my liking. Here's a pic.

wow! Your tank looks amazing to just be live rock and a few corals. what kind of lighting do you use? and how big is your tank?

BRS is a great company. I got 1000 lbs of pukani and 2000 lbs of mined rock all from them. The mined rock is way denser than the pukani. I like the shapes of the pukani better. The mined rock is still very nice though. I would definitely let the rocks cycle for a while either way.
