anyone have bubble coral tips??

my bubble coral had been doing so good! its one of my favorites. but lately its been looking terrible! so bummed. does anyone know any specifics on what could be the problem? their likes or dislikes?

alright boss, here you go sal.-1.025, nitrate 41.7, phos.- .27, alk.-9.7, cal. 545, temp 77, ph.-8, . i use red sea salt. the only ''recent'' changes have been the addition of a kleini butterfly for aiptasia and dosing red sea algae management and brightwell aquatics kh buffer

ok. the rest of my tank seems very happy. there are no changes to the flow or where its been placed since i got it. as far as calcium, i dont think anything im adding has that in:thinking-face:and im not dosing it. im always a little leery of my hanna calcium tester....flow is very gentle. ive also been wondering about a fish nipping at it, but havent caught anyone! ill have to get out the par meter to check par
 
Sorry to jump in but we have one of those and only had it a month, ours looks different, the polyps are smaller, is ours ok?

There are different types of bubble coral. There are a few different shapes of bubble. Yours looks like a Physogyra lichtensteini or a Plerogyra discus. The OP's is likely a Plerogyra sinuosa.

Wish I could help. Mine thrives in NO3 15-20 and PO4 0.2-0.3 so close to yours. Your calcium is high but I'm not sure if that would cause issues. I've had my bubble over 7 years and it's thriving. That said I added a green one a few years ago. I placed it in the same light and flow as my other one and it only lasted a month. Sad part is I have no idea why one thrives and another dies.

It’s been almost two decades since I had one and loved but due to those long sweepers and the size of my my current tank it wouldn’t work.
