Anyone have experience with this? (Real time No3 Meter)

It appears to be for industrial and scientific usage, so in it's current form it might not have any utility for our aquariums, other than a use case for the possibility of real time No3 monitoring.

Right, as I wrote in my original post, most likely for scientific and industrial use. I was just wondering if the thing actually worked. It's rated for a depth down to 500M So, likely much of the bulk could be discarded as we wouldn't need tolerances anywhere close to that.

I would have to believe it works as they wouldn't promote it if it didn't. Being who they are, they would get chastised by the scientific community if it didn't

I'm quite sure it works.

But I can't imagine that the price of the waterproofing/depth is the most expensive part. While it's not an ICP test, it's a purpose-built spectrometer.

So a lamp and detection medium is really all it is, but "all it is" includes probably some very high precision parts.

Hrm, maybe we'll get lucky and a reefer with more money than sense will purchase it for us and do a use case ;-). I think the holy trinity of reefing would be automatic monitoring of Alk, No3, and Po4. One down, two to go ;-).

I just found pinpoint has a nitrate monitor. They just don't open up their information for automation.

It could technically be hacked........

Likely to be super expensive, and possibly prone to needing calibration in your aquarium water.

I just found pinpoint has a nitrate monitor. They just don't open up their information for automation.

It could technically be hacked........

I wan't overly impressed with the Pinpoint when I used it. It requires two point calibration every time it is used (last I used it,anyway).

Seneye releasing 2 new perrameters this year, DKH for sure and I believe nitrate, their email from a couple of weeks ago was a little lost in translation or lack of knowledge in customer support. but DKH 100% for sure.

Hmm tht would be cool, I hope it's just an upgrade fee and buy new slides. I only used mine to cycle my tank and now for par readings but I would consider full time use again for those two

No, they are rolling out new devices, not upgrades. The one for Alkalinity is going to be called Seneye Coral I believe.
