I have a 15 gallon nano. i lookking to get a testing and dosing system. Got Softies, lps, sps, acans, zoas and more. I want to test Alk, Cal, Nitrate, PH. I've looked into the trident but it might be over kill for such a small tank. Anyone have any ideas.

Hanna checker for Alk. Almost any Ca test kit will do. I haven’t found an accurate N test kit other then some very expensive equipment - I struggle to see the difference between various shades of pink usually.

Get a pH meter - color changing kits aren’t as accurate for ph. Pinpoint marine makes excellent ph meters, if want something cheaper I believe Hanna makes a handheld one or you can even get it on amazon for $20. Make sure to buy calibration fluid.

the short answer to a whooooole lot of reading and debating...... It's not an option for you, yet. We're still a few years away and many are working to bring it to the market but it's just not here yet.

I’m not aware of anything that will cost you less. You can check GHL ION Director but still be costly, I’m not sure if it works standalone. Still won’t test everything on your list...

Thats what I thought- do you think it is worth investment. Or do you think in a couple years it will be out dated
