Anyone have suggestions for underwater webcams?

I keep a tank in my classroom and in the past I’ve done behavioral monitoring projects with students. In the past I had STEM kids who wanted to be in the classroom, and were respectful of a dry webcam. Now I work with…let’s just say less respectful students… who will almost certainly knock over anything outside of the tank. Can anyone point me toward a webcam I can mount inside the tank? For reference, I’ve got a 75gallon corner quarter circle tank. Two clowns and a hippo right now (all donated) but I’d like to add more each year.

I'd be equally concerned with what these chuckleheads might put in the tank. In any event, any in-tank camera is going to require regular cleaning if you do go that route.

What's your budget? Everything I've found so far is upwards of $200.

Why not get one that you can mount on the ceiling ? Like a outside security cam that mounts on the wall or somewhere

Because I have a wood canopy lid on top of my tank. I’d take it off but it looks awful without it and opens up more potential for kids to put their hands in.

Unless you mean mount it inside the canopy…I guess I could do that but I’d need a wide angle lens…though I might have trouble with the waves on top

I kinda like the idea of the camera inside the tank. It would be interesting to see what it looks like from the fish's POV to have people coming up to the tank all day long and pushing their faces up against it. Also, I've always been curious how clear the view is from inside to outside the tank. How often are my fish darting around because I walked past the tank vs just randomly deciding that absolutely must bounce off the lid and hide under the rock at the other end of the tank and they must do it at 90 mph.

Do any Go Pro's do webcam style streaming? I know a number of them are waterproof and they seem to be pretty common amongst youtubers.

What if you mounted it permanently to the wall, on an arm that comes out next to the tank? Other than that my vote actually goes to the claymore.

I like the idea of in-tank streaming video camera for the classroom but have no experience.

Amazon has some "underwater fishing cameras" that look promising at first glance and some don't look too big but, again, no experience.

I did see that one on Amazon but wanted to see if there was a clear winner among reefers. I think I’ll ask my tech dept what they think about it/the GoPro set up. Thanks everyone!
