I've had this coral in my tank almost since it started and it has recently began growing! But, I have no idea what it is!!

Ya this is a crappy pic... It's very flat and appears to have a lot of very small heads or polyps ? On it that close up if touched or if a crab walks across it

I wish I had a better camera !! Whatever it is I have noticed some new heads beginning to grow onto the live rock I've placed it on

Not a clu from that shot. Something that shows one of the polyps would help.

This is a better pic I think ... Can kinda see the little heads on the coral

Anyone tell what this is from this new pic?

Looks like a browned out monti to me. Put it in some light and it will probably turn colors....:)

Should it be put into high light ? Because its been in my tank under my normal light schedule for at least a month

Possibly encrusting Porites.

I am thinking this or encrusting monti ... what's the difference?

That is a good question, both are considered SPS. I imagine the difference is probably the skeletal structure/Corallite. Montipora and Porities are in different families.
I have had Porities show up as a hitch hiker on LR in the past.

Perhaps a Pocillipora? I had one pop up in my tank before, and it stayed flat for some time before it began branching out.
