Welcome! While this forum is primarily about saltwater tanks, I think you will find many of us who started with freshwater and moved to the salty side of the fence. I kept freshwater tanks for most of my life. In the last two decades, I've had tanks for African cichlids, Oscars, Orandas, and countless community fish. Event now, I'm thinking of adding a freshwater tank of some sort to my home -- I just miss it a bit. I'm glad you joined us.

Hello! I'm also new to r2r, I do a lot of freshwater stuff, even breeding South American Cichlids, but right now I'm obsessed with reef since I started about a year ago. Large freshwater oddballs will always be my favorite fish to discuss, especially gatf and other super predators that make their mark in extreme environments.
