We've tried several different bottles of Phyto plankton from different brands, and we want to start cultivating Pods, Plankton etc.

So I'm a fan of both live phyto and non-live phyto depending on my end use...
For adding to my tank and culture pond in my back yard (I grow tigger pods outside because they do SO much better out there -no idea why) I always use live. I have been a HUGE fan of Reef Nutritions PhytoFeast LIVE. Great blend! I thought about culturing myself BUT I simply don't have the time to culture multiple strains of phyto. A single strain, sure I could run a nano culture in my garage -but I simply can't grow 6 different strains of algae.
For dense cultures of pods or rotifers: RG Complete cannot be beat. Great blend for this purpose and has a ammonia neutralizer built in -which is handy for dense cultures. I will still use this occasionally in other cultures (like my back yard tigger pods) just to bring ammonia down.
Hope that helps. In terms of just a single strain I agree with the above comment that you can't get better than home brew!! Your nanno will be super healthy and packed with omegas and nutrients.
We appreciate what you had to say about our product. For people that don't want to culture algae, our blends work well.
Best,
Chad
