Anyone know how to remove Chitons from the glass?

I've been trying since last night to move chitons thats stuck my glass from my holding tank to my new tank without success. They are like superglued onto the glass. 1st attempt I ripped off the shell off of one trying to get it off but it wont move until death. What's the secret? ice cube or something? heat up the glass? I don't care much about the holding tank and would like save my chitons.

Usually similar to removing a snail, a pull and twist, or a CC slid under them will do the trick.

Never had an issue moving mine.

believe me, i pulled , i twisted . they are simply not going off my glass. I ripped off a shell trying to get one off. Help me save my chitons lol
