I have some like those and have seen them around. Usually see them just called lime green halo. I like them because they always stay pretty small.

Cool. Thanks guys. I was gonna call them inferno hornets, but i guess they really dont need a name.

Yah, they are nice. What kind of light levels are you deepwater zoa owners keeping them under?

Lower middle under T5HO's. I have tried full light and slightly shaded and they seem to like the slightly shaded but it seems they may actually like having the flow reduced mor ethan anything.

Yeah, i am keeping them under a 250 watt 14k phoenix and t5 actinics. They are towards the top, but under indirect ligh and low flow. They seem to be happy.

I have some of the yellow and black rings in that same pattern from him. I keep them in the bottom half of my 24" tall tank with 2 250 watt HQI's and 4 36 watt T5's. They grow so FAST!!!

Just to clear of the illegal issue with these coming out of Japan. The "Japanese" Deepwater zoas are not harvested from Japan, they come from Bali. Reef Raft in Canada started the the trend of calling them Japanese zoas to hype them up. So, if you have "Japanese" zoas, no worries, they are not illegal.

Thanks just found this out on my local board.

I don't know where everyone came up with "deepwater zoa's". A friend of mine just returned from Japan, he saw all these "deepwater zoas" in less than 10 feet of water. Doesn't sound very deep to me. I have these same one under 250w halides 6" from the surface. The growth has been ridiculous and no color has been lost. The ones in dimmer light all died.
