Anyone know the low down on fhi???

A lfs here has started to carry some nice stuff most of it coming from fish heads... They come with no name or anything just some good looking acros IMO but some of them have a striking resemblance to corals farmed by Ora etc.. Just curious I can't find any info on the net besides there a wholesaler...

i posted a pic of an acro i bought at a LFS which came from FHI and never got any real good ID on it. Found their website hoping to find a list of coral they distribute, but like you found nothing. this is the coral.

FHI is a pretty big name in the wholesale world, when I worked in a store we used them rather often. They want to get thier name out there for thier aquacultured stuff, but not many people carry it so far.

From what I know, they frag up maricultured corals, mount them, let them encrust them and resell them as FHI. I don't think they put much time into finding unique specimens to farm, just whatever they can get their hands on...

This sounds about rite from the looks of stuff I have saw... Hmm I have good sucsess with there frags vs Mari colonies... So at least there given ya a better shot lol...

I will not post the issues that I have had with FHI but I will no longer deal with them on anything..

Fish Heads has been stepping their game up as of late.. SPS wise, I still can't get my LFS to get any good chalice off them... that's why I travel north!

well i do know they have there issues from what the lfs tells me.....not once has he got the pieces he has ordered they substitute everything and throw in a ton of extras he has to off load...lol i was just curiuos because i bought a few brown pieces and they colored up very wicked, some of my favorite acro's came from them lol.....thank's for the heads up all......

we do a lot of business with them and have good luck. They don't mess with names of some items because I mean sometimes it gets a little ridiculous.
