His going into a 90 for right now, im currently in the process of setting up a 180. I have a few shrimp in my 90, I was alittle worried, but his very small atm. Those guys can get really big. I had one in my 220 years back. He would eat a full cocktail shrimp 2-3 times a week.
Also very reef safe, and peaceful. Never bothered anything. Inverts, Shrimps, and small fish.
Still thinking it is a barred eel. The banded eel has the black and white stripes evenly spaced from what I see from the intraweb pictures.
Yeah ur definitely right its a barred eelTo me it looks more like a Barred Moray (Echidna polyzona) than a zebra eel. Look up both and see which one matches better. Kind of hard to tell while in the bag.
Yep, I also have a 3 inch blue hippo tang in my 90 so I definitely will have to do the upgrade anyways+1 agree with barred eel the banded snake eels face doesn't quite match the one in ops picture, a 90 gallon is probably fine for a short while but I think they get to 2 feet so a 180 isn't a bad idea lol
Would this guy eat the shrimp i have in this tank currently?+1 agree with barred eel the banded snake eels face doesn't quite match the one in ops picture, a 90 gallon is probably fine for a short while but I think they get to 2 feet so a 180 isn't a bad idea lol
I'll likely remove the shrimp then, I love my fire and cleaner shrimp.Yes I think they do eat shrimp, if he doesn't try other meaty foods. They can bite so be cautious when working around them
