i have this rock in my qt tank feeding for the main display and today I say these red fan looking things on the rock. Anyone know what this is? I thought it was coralline algae?

Looks like a red macro algae to me....

its not shaped like bubbles, its more like fans

Could be just a red macro algae then which is cool and just fine... keep an eye on it [emoji102]

The start of dictyota or grape calupera...

It could be a red Valonia, but I’m not so sure about that.

so is it safe or should i remove it from the tank?

If it is a macroalgae it is beneficial and good to have...Google image search red macro algae...I saw a few that look very much like what you've shown.
