Anyone know what these little white things are

Bought this guy a fee days ago. When i first purchased it was all orange with no littlw white stringy things. Now its all over. Is this normal?

It's the polyps of the gorgonian. Good sign they're out!

feeding polyps and a sign of a healthy specimen. I feed mine Phyto plankton daily

Some gorgonians require food as they are nps .
I’m not 100% sure if this one is or not but a little food will not be a bad thing .

Agree with @Rmckoy and I believe this ones NPS (non photosynthetic), I have the same gorgonian and it was sold to me as NPS. But Im also not 100% sure. It is thriving though!

Feed it … you can’t go wrong

If you’re up for it, get some phytoplankton (live is preferred, but if you don’t want to spend a lot, you can do something like phyto feast from reef nutrition), and just feed a little every time you feed the tank. A little goes a long way so 1ml or so per 20 gallons would go a long way and not raise your phosphates too much (if you don’t measure phosphates regularly, you can probably get away with 1ml per feeding daily, if you do measure your phosphates then you could do a bit more and react accordingly based on any rises in phosphate).
