It's some type algae. How old is the tank? Almost looks like the stuff I had in my anemone tank.

Tank is about 4 weeks old, wondering if it's something a certain snail would eat up

Oh you have a very young tank that's still going through its ugly growing pains. Nothing is going to eat it I can almost guarantee that. Don't do anything crazy, let the tank do its thing for the next 6 weeks and it'll correct itself. You'll see all sorts of different algae come and go within the time above. Long story short keep yours hands out of the tank and it'll go away. What's happening is you have some sort of high "nutrient" say for example only silica. The algae is growing off that but it's going to come to a point where the algae eats it's good source comepletely out of the tank and it'll die off quick. Just be prepare for another algae to takes its place. Don't worry about any sort of growth until after the tank is 3 months old.
