Yes....definitely Asterina. They drop legs which turn into more stars....multiply like crazy. Some claim some species eat Zoas......I consider them a member of the CUC as long as their numbers are kept in check.

How do you keep them in check?

How do you keep them in check?
Either by manually pulling them out (I would usually just pull ones I see on the glass once a week) or by picking up a natural predator to them like Harlequin Shrimp. Normally if you can see 10, that means you have 50 lol.

Check out Bumblebee shrimp (not bumblebee snails). Similar to Harlequin shrimp but smaller and have been known to eat meaty foods too and not be exclusive to starfish like the harlequin, which eventually starve to death unless regularly adding more starfish

Asterina for sure. You’ll want to pull them when you see them. I’ve never had them bad enough to get a predator so I can’t speak to that but it’s an easy fix, just time consuming.
