It is smaller than a dime and was all white when i first noticed. I touched it and it is soft
 
If it is a growth and not a critter it's most likely sponge. Which is perfectly safe there good filter feeders. It is very hard to see with the blue lights however.
 
I've had white tunicates that sort of looked like that before, and they're perfectly harmless. If you don't like it though, you can take it out of the tank and blow air on it, they usually will melt back or die after that.
 
Here is a picture i found online that has the same shape but its white. Ill try to get a better picture
