they look like they are Red Planaria flatworms.

Yep, look like RP flatworms and they are bad; a lot of reefers seem to like Salifert's Flatworm eXit, but you can also read many cautions for using this product. Here's an article about it: http://www.melevsreef.com/articles/how-to-eliminate-flatworms-red-planaria

Personally I suck them out...start a siphon with some tubing run into a filter sock and start hunting them down....
