I found this growing on the Tonga liverock I put in the system this week.

It actually looks more orange but I had to remove the tank cover to get the picture down through the water so it really doesn't show the colour to well. SO what is a button polyp?

Thanks so how often do they separate and grow new ones?

that one still look small, may take a little bit before it starts to grow but when it does get a little bigger you could have any where from 6 to 12 with in 6 months depanding on the light. you never know save this thread and in time share your results.

Will do thanks. This one is directly under the marine glow actinic light in the front of the tank and the new 10K light is in teh back of the hood.
