While doing a water change this morning I noticed this on a rock. Anyone know what this is?

Looks like some skeleton of coral with Coraline algae but picture kind of blurry. Turn lights to white and retake picture.

Some hair algae or bryopsis with a little cap of cyanobacteria for good measure

Start pulling that out during water changes and increase water changes to more then what your doing to stop the nutrients imbalance. Also if you have a sump try removing some detritus I had a bunch in there after going a long time without giving it a full scrub. Pulled out at least 30 turkey basters worth of junk down there. Better to start on algae levels now because it takes awhile to get rid of it.
