Hi, I am relatively new to the saltwater part of the hobby, as i've had freshwater for years. My tank, roughly 6 months old has been doing just fine, with only 2 fish and a few corals. My most recent purchase were 3 corals and 3 snails from a local coral shop, however today I noticed that there was something in a hole of my rock, and I did not put there. After getting it out, I put it into a net in the tank to try and identify what it was. It looked like a slug but the outside was rock hard like a shell, but 'the shell seemed to be apart of its body? I called the coral store I recently bought from asking if they knew what it was, but they said its probably a regular snail, however I don't think it is which is why i'm coming on here to ask. Curious to know if anybody know what this is? I've disposed of it already, this photo was taken when I found it. I also found it very weird as when it was in the net, it was moving everywhere even out of the water.
