Anyone makes their own food?

Hi there. I was wondering if anyone has any good experience and recipes for fish/coral food. I have used LRS blend. Its expensive and I have to pay for shipping. Any one used store bought fish roe?

Fish food? Sure lots do. Pretty much just use a blender of everything you can find lol

Just be careful when buying seafood from stores. They can be sprayed with chemicals to preserve them which isn't good.

I use both LRS and home made.
I also use LRS eggs and Eggs when I get in fish at work that have them.
LRS are fantastic products.

Many varieties and "recipies" on line, but basically better off using a food processor.

Yep frozen shrimp is loaded with sodium phosphate as a preservative.

I have done it before, fish and corals love it. I make a mix of table shrimp, mysis, clam, scallops and a powdered coral food like Coral Candy or Reef Roids. Feeds my fish and corals all at once, but make sure you have a good clean up crew and nutrient export system because it is DIRTY haha
