I have a blood/fire shrimp, only 1 and it's starting to really annoy me. I feed my corals twice a week, it tries getting the pellets out from the acans and the scolly and I have to sit there with a acrylic rod to keep scaring it off until I've made sure my corals have eaten the food and the shrimp is unable to get it back out.

Yup. I went with out shrimp for years. I have two tanks now and one shrimp. Once it's done with the aptasia it is getting a new home.

Shrimp are jerks. Except anemone shrimp. They rock.

I HATE shrimp!! They molt and make a mess in a tank! Not to mention mine just hid the whole time.

I really do not like them mainly because of the molting part.

So I do not keep any! My shrimp died during a molt - it was sad but I'm glad I no longer have one

I've always loved cleaner shrimp - they're a lot of fun and the kids love their personalities. But they're annoying and walk all over corals and steal food from delicate eaters. No more shrimp for this guy.

I loved the pair of Harlequin Shrimp that I had.
Cool little guys but had to trade them back in to the local reef shop when they wiped out the Asterina starfish.

Did not want to freeze starfish that they eat to keep them fed, but they were awesome little boogers.

I just looked those up - they are pretty!!! Do they molt? And do they eat anything else besides stars?

Yes,
They molt and certain starfish are the only food that they eat.
A lot of reefers freeze chocolate starfish for their food.

I have a small reef-safe starfish but it is not one of the species that they eat.

I have 2 and the eat flakes, pellets, mysis , Brine, worms, krill... anything I put in the tank. Squirt a little food at them first before you feed your corals makes a world of difference. And they're also a cleaner shrimp for the fish.

I love seeing shrimp in other people's tanks. I won't keep them anymore because they are food thieves. They also constantly move around in the tank, walking over my LPS and causing the LPS to close.
