I was looking for an alternative to LiveAquaria, and I noticed they are a reef2reef sponsor.

They have:

1. In many cases better or same pricing as LA...when their starting at price is in stock.

2. They have livestock that LA seems to run out of quite frequently.

I'd love to give them my full future support, but searching for them doesn't bring up much for me in positive terms.

Costs aren't what they seem either as there may only be a certain size available that's maybe $15-20 more than the listed price.

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

I ordered several high end tangs from them and I was quite happy. There prices are great, shipping was fast, it was a win win really.

The prices shown are just the base price for the smallest fish. I think it is just how it is done instead of showing a range.

I would order from then again, certainly before I went to LA. The last Fish I got from live aquaria I was shocked at how bad he looked.

I am done with Liveaquaria.
Been ordering from saltwaterfish
But this last order I tried fishybusiness and I am very pleased with the order.
Pricing is advertised for the smallest size if available and then it goes up with size.

You can add warranty to your order for 7 14 or 21 days and pay more or take the discounted price and get alive arrival only.

I am so far happy with it.

I was happy with my one order. Had one fish die on me and they refunded the money after proof of death. My biggest issue is when the free shipping kicks in. LA is at $99 and Fishy is at $199. Pretty easy to hit $99, not so much $199. Bottom line is if my order can hit $199 I'll go with Fishy, if not I can almost always hit $99 and go with La or DD.

Received a order 1 week ago and I am very pleased with the quality. Ordered a purple tang, a spotted yellow eye tang and several blue green chromis and they were very active straight out of the bag they were shipped in. As soon as they r thru QT I will order another shipment from them, no question.

It seems like they are genuinely a good company, but I read conflicting reviews earlier this year...free shipping isn't really something I'm too worried about considering the health of the fish.

Does LA have a warranty?

LA is doa only as far as I remember.

I was messaging the owner about my potential fish order and he was a pleasure to deal with.

I've seen a couple bad reviews on Facebook. It all seems to be related to their doa policies and sending the wrong fish. I'm sure they are just as good and bad as other companies that drop ship.

Do your homework/research. Everyone is gonna have different opinions. My opinion is/are that they stink. There ordering process is awesome. Keep you well informed of whatever your buying. Fish come in and it’s 50/50 like any other place. Now god forbid something goes wrong with your fish within the time limits and you’ll see there true colors. Go back and read. Not everyone can be lying

Have never used fishybusiness. I considered but the prices they list to get the equivalent guarantee that is standard for LA, 14 days, are kind of ridiculous. Also you really can't beat the 99 dollar free shipping threshold for LA. I will say that I will never order anything from standard LA again though, ordered 3 butterflyfish from them, one was DOA, one was dead in a day, the other survived QT but I really wanted a small shoal of pyramid butterfly's. Every fish I have ordered from Diver's Den has been extremely healthy though, so I will continue to order from there.
