I have 2 kessils 360we lights on my 4ft tank 6 inches off the water. I have a birds nest and a couple montis that have faded. I finally got my hands on a par meter and it turns out I’ve been starving my corals. I had them running at 56% peak intensity because I’ve always read how bright they are and was worried about bleaching corals. Well at that intensity the very top of my rock work has only been getting 100 par! To get it up to the 250-350 range I have to turn the lights up to 100%. This seems a little crazy to me because I don’t read about anyone else running them this high. Does it seem weird to anyone else? Is something wrong with my lights? Also, how slowly should I go raising them up to 100%?
