Hey guys,

I have a red sea reefer (60" x 20" x 20") that is running two MP 40's and I've been struggling to find flow patterns that my tank prefers. I just bought a reef octo pulse 2 to supplement and I was blown away at how small and powerful this pump is. It feels just as strong as my mp40s but with a slightly smaller width of flow. As a bonus, I'm running the hydros wave engine so I just hooked up the pulse 2 to a drive port. Has anyone else made the switch to reef octo pumps and had a good experience? Especially when running the wave engine?

Had the octopus 4 and very pleased with quietness and performance

I bought one octo 2 tonight and it was way too much for my 425xl. I hope a cable to my hydros control 4 will let me dial it way back. I was disappointed and felt like I wasted my money. It was ripping the tank to shreds on the lowest setting.

That’s surprising. I was using two octo pulse 2s on my rsr 450 and they could go up to 90 percent. I was running on a wave engine and it was great

I am starting to wonder if I had a 4 inside a 2 box. Do you have a video of what it looks like with then running at 90%? I moved it to my Quarantine tank. Anything over 50% starts ripping sand out of the bowl.
