Anyone see something like this before? It's pink/red looks like a sponge but moves around slowly and has several tentacles that it seems to be using to get around. Thing is super hardy. I've dipped it twice in revive when dipping zoas not noticing it.

ITs a sponge i have white ones, they'll connect via the thin hairs that you see to suspend the larger mass. I plucked mine out because they were a little to aggressive for me.

Pick it out and see how it tastes. :P

If it's crawling around did you look underneath? Maybe a snail with a sponge covering it's shell?

Definitely not a sponge - there is no sponge with tentacles. Look up baby red sea urchin. That might be a much better guess. Whatever it is, if you don't want it I'll take it off your hands. I've got a tank set up trying to breed sea urchins for a year now with no success so far.

No clue what is it. It has a mouth like tunicates. It's pretty bright and has doubled in size. If its an invert I can't believe it survived two revive dips.

Mike...not to hijack forealb50's thread, but you can chemically get urchins to release eggs and sperm...they do it in biology classes and it doesn't kill them ...just an FYI if it helps
